City Hall & Around The Singapore River

City Hall and the Singapore River are home to historical landmarks like the Padang, The Old Parliament House, The Victoria Concert Hall, Raffles Landing Place and Cavenagh Bridge. City hall is also the heart of the central business district, while the Singapore River has become a prime night life and entertainment area. Between work and play there is always time for shopping!

The newly revamped Marina Square is certainly bigger and better now. A satisfying shopping experience is guaranteed, and you can end your day at any one of the little pubs or diners located just outside the mall that serve a variety of cuisines.

Across from Marina Square is Millenia Walk, this spacious mall awashed in natural light is home to footwear stores like sole 2 sole, furniture store space and red army watches. You can also enjoy delicious cakes and a cuppa tea at Bakerzin.

Shops at Esplanade Mall are decidedly more "artsy" in flavor and theme. Try your hand at creating your own personalized teddy bear at Cool Bear Workshop, or go Japanese with a tatami mat at The Tatami Shop Singapore, the first of its kind outside Japan. You can take a part of the Esplanade with you from Esplanade Shop, the main place in town for all things related to Esplanade where exclusive Esplanade signature goods are available. Another noteworthy store is The Naturalist, where you can find custom-made shower gels, shampoo, perfumes, massage oils and aromatherapy oil blends to suit your needs.
